CLEANING OIL PAINTING
This process will reverse the effects of smoke, moisture, and mold. A thorough cleaning will also lighten a darkening vanish and recapture soft colors and textures. cleaning method nourishes the paint surface to slow oil paint’s oxidation process. When properly employed, it can restore color to reflect the artist’s original intended vision. After the cleaning process, a varnish is applied to maintain the restored color.
In cases of lost or deteriorated paint, our team of restoration experts can provide undetectable inpainting and retouching.
REPAIR AND CANVAS STABILISATION
Our reweaving techniques allow for repairing canvas damages including cracks and rips. Where required, paint will be reapplied to achieve a full restoration.
Intended for fragile canvasses, this process will mount the original canvas onto linen, canvas or hardboard in order to relax the paint film and slow the development of stress cracks and other types of deterioration caused by tension, flexing, and mishandling.
WATERCOLOR & WORK ON PAPER RESTORATION
The restoration of watercolor paintings and artworks on paper including etchings, engravings, pastels and pencil drawings can be a particularly delicate process but often on fragile paper and is susceptible to tears, punctures, foxing, mild and insect damage.
CERAMIC, POTTERY, SCULPTURE RESTORATION
If an accident happens, our experienced ceramic restoration conservators can repair damaged, chipped or cracked ceramics, ornaments, tableware, pottery, sculptures and figurines, whether modern or antique.
Our ceramic repair conservators work with hard and soft-paste porcelain, bone china, stoneware, terracotta and an earthenware to create almost invisible repairs.
We use specialist materials compatible with the delicate object to achieve a lasting solution. The original material can be preserved by stabilising cracks, aligning broken pieces and remolding missing areas. The final step of retouching by hand painting or airbrushing will sympathetically match the original materials and decoration.

Gilding: Our gilt frame restoration team specializes in the conservation and restoration of frames, architectural features, furniture and sculptures.
